Cardiff Wales | The Around the City Part

Hiya! I hope this post finds you well- I've just returned from studying at Oxford for the week so I guess you could say things have been a little busy! I'm planning on spending the rest of the afternoon/ evening journaling the small details of the last few days, scrounging the kitchen cabinets for anything still edible (#gourmetdinner) and watching New Girl until my tired heart is content. As for the rest of the weekend, I'm looking at the Farmer's Market, uploading the bazillion and two photos I took this week and homework. Lots and lots of homework. (Can't believe we're coming on week four of classes!)

For now though, I'd love to continue sharing my day trip to Cardiff with you. It really was the best & these photos shouldn't go to waste!

After sightseeing, picnicking and sword fighting (oh, did I forget to mention that last bit?) at Cardiff Castle, we decided to make our way through town to the National Museum of Wales. Although we weren't allowed to take pictures in the museum itself, we stumbled upon quite a few little things on the walk there that were just as lovely.

Among the many favorites I've mentioned since being here (oh hi pretty weather and cluttered cafes), I have a new one to add to the bunch: walking without a purpose. I really need to make a formal list or something.

^^^sitting down for a quick bite.
^^^i loved all the flowers.
^^^the prettiest war memorial.
^^^views from the gardens.

The museum turned out to be fantastic. It was definitely super cool to see a bunch of Wales-related history...everything from paintings to dinosaur bones. And apparently I'm part Welsh so it was basically my roots. ;)

Photos from Cardiff Bay coming soon- Happy Friday!
