I'm home!

Well technically, I've been home since last Friday. But it's been less than a week, so that can still warrant a post about it, right? Yeah, I thought so too. In this less than a week, I can report the following: I've written a whole TWO emails, I went to a middle school basketball game & a high school music concert, and I watched Love Actually while having peanut butter fudge. I painted my nails a "Forever Yummy" red, I baked cookies twice (J and I are now calling them Bakies because you bake cookies, not cook them), and I've unsubscribed from (most) spam emails. This is an important list that I'm very proud of ladies & gentlemen.

I actually now have time to process things like my horrible hair roots, the two books that I'm determined to read for fun over the next month, and the fact that Christmas is in eight days. Eight. I'll be working on all three, no doubt. Hair appointment = scheduled; books = strategically placed within easy reach; Christmas = I'm officially in elf mode. I've got crafts & ribbons & (things that shall not be named in case you're reading this) strung all over my room. I may be a little behind, but good gracious, I love this time of year.

I've got another Gift Guide coming soon (the lady version), so stay tuned for that! A huge chunk of my break will also be devoted to redesigning the website for The Blue & Gray Press, the UMW Student Newspaper. So, make sure and check on blueandgraypress.com every so often for changes. Right now, there's just a nice little 'coming soon' message. :-)

And in the spirit of telling you my list of what I'll be up to for the next month, I might as well tell you that I'm also planning on using this time to memorize the lyrics to a few Beyonce songs and to master my mother's peanut butter fudge recipe that I mentioned earlier. I'll keep you posted on both.

In the mean time, Happy Holidays from us to you.
