a happiness list

  • Stop wearing makeup- let your skin heal. 
  • When you're by yourself, wear as little clothes as possible. Get to know your body without hiding under clothes. Feel comfortable and invigorated in your own skin. 
  • Carry a 12oz. water bottle with you all day long. Make it the first thing you drink in the morning. Refill it 5 times a day. 
  • Stretch. Stretch all the time. Always feel limber, never stiff.
  • Take 5 minutes out of every hour of the day to let your mind wander. (or wonder.)
  • Get up an hour before you need to each morning.
  • Stay grounded and aware of what's happening in the world around you. 
  • Sneeze all the way, don't hold it in. Much more satisfying. 
  • Take care of your hair, skin, teeth & nails. Invest in good sunscreen, a good pillow and  a good face mask.
  • Find a way to get moving. 
  • Allow yourself to be tired, allow yourself to sleep. Take naps. 
  • Consistently go through your belongings and clear out what doesn't belong.
  • Don't set goals for yourself that are out of your control.
  • Slow down.
  • Indulge in your nerdy interests. 
  • Add green to your diet. More green than you think. (Your skin will thank you!)
  • Consider taking yourself off of one social media outlet. No need to do it all. 
  • Be a tourist, wherever you are.
  • Keep a running tab of what adds to your happiness, and strive to make time for those things.
