Q and A

Hello lovelies! I'm hoping that everyone is doing well~ Who stayed up until 2am to watch all the election shenanigans? Sara and I were both doing everything in our power to stay awake while we were watching from our beds.. hehe. I'm afraid we were hurting from it this morning though.. we're both very sleepy! But there's a 50% chance of snow today and I bought dark hot chocolate for my Keurig so...
My little blog was nominated for the Liebster award by the oh-so-sweet Stephanie at Violet Lilac Plum!  Although I normally don't really participate in these kinds of things, I am very much flattered. But it did get me thinking.. why not do a little Q&A segment every now and then? You can ask questions involving me or the blog, any topics you want me to cover- from adjusting to college, to different how-to's, to new music. You guys ask the questions, I'll answer. What do ya think? Let's get to know each other a little more, shall we?
For now, I'm just going to answer a few of Stephanie's questions~
~
1. If you could live in any time period, which would you choose to live in and why?
I've just recently been drooling over season two of Downton Abbey, so this question is very fitting! If I could live during any time period, it would most likely be the 1920's. It was such a wonderful time~ America was thriving, the culture and fashion was fabulous, and there were so many inspirational people that I would have just loved to meet.

2. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
This is a tough question for me. Something that might inspire me today, might not inspire me tomorrow. I find inspiration in a textbook, how a autumn leaf falls off a tree, a conversation between a mother and her son, or something as simple as a certain sound or smell.

3.What is your favorite quote?
Those of you who personally know me would know that I surround myself with oodles and oodles of quotes. So it would be really difficult to pick a favorite. I did however just recently come across a little thought that I very much enjoyed:

-a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle-

4. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Hmm.. Although I love the perfect stillness of 5am, its very rare that I will ever be up at that time. I've always been one to stay up until I absolutely have zero energy left, which normally results in a after-midnight bedtime. Its also when I do the bulk of my writing-- after events from the day have settled and I have time to gather my thoughts.

5. Coffee, tea, or something else?
I've been into tea this season for sure. I literally drink it all day long. I'm not sure if that's exactly healthy, but its the only thing that keeps me warm! I do love coffee though, and normally enjoy a cup in the morning if I have time. And as I said earlier, I bought this stuff, and its completely and perfectly amazing. Very much recommended.
